Synopsis:
This course introduces students to the landscape of FinTech, Cryptocurrency, Blockchain, Digitalization and the new Future.
We cut the fancy jargons and buzzwords and get down to plain vanilla of Blockchain Fundamentals. The course is aimed to break it down and make it simple. Once that’s cleared out, we will take no time to waste and jump straight on how the COVID pandemic worked in Technology’s favour and why digital banking is the way forward for the ‘new normal’ – remote, contactless and borderless.
Course will be delivered using the case studies to support theories presented so that you can have your ‘oh! Ahhhh!’ moment! – Trust us, we got you on this.
Introduction to Blockchain & Fundamentals
• Gain an overview of Blockchain applications including smart contracts, cryptocurrencies and token-based initiatives.
• Understand the capabilities and limitations of Blockchain Technology
• Case Study of Blockchain Based Digital Transformation in Legacy Businesses
Digital Banking & The New Normal
• Develop understanding of the digital banking landscape, comparing dominant players, drivers for success and barriers to entry
• Develop an understanding of what it means to be truly digital vs digitising a process
• Understand opportunities in the digital banking space and how it is a must have in the new normal landscape.
Course Assessments:
There will be pre, during & post course assessments in the following mix:
• Pre Course Quizzes
You will be required to do some theory readings prior to the course and assessed on your understanding through a short MCQ quiz.
• Continuous Course Assessment
Throughout the course, there will be live quizzes to assess your understanding of the presentation on random intervals.
• End of Course reflective journals
To be able to qualify for a certificate of course completion, your knowledge gained will be assessed through short analytical and application questions.
